Our Unofficial Founders: Tony Alvarez and Liz Alvarez

The Angel Network Foundation, Inc. was founded by Tony Alvarez and Liz Alvarez. It all began as a simple but profound idea during Tony's illness. Despite facing a challenging health journey, Tony's spirit remained unbroken, and he was determined to express his gratitude for life's blessings. Thus, the seeds of our organization were sown.

In 2019, Tony and Liz Alvarez initiated their mission with a Popcorn and a Movie event at a senior housing unit. Tony, with his engaging personality and deep knowledge of cinema, served as our Robert Osborne commentator throughout the movie. He shared fascinating insights about the actors, bringing joy and knowledge to the audience.

In 2020, Tony passed away, leaving behind a legacy of gratitude and community spirit. Liz Alvarez carried on the torch, committed to continuing the mission that meant so much to Tony.

Rachel O'Dowd: A Driving Force in Our Community

Rachel O'Dowd is not just a name; she's a pillar of strength and a catalyst for positive change in our community. Her deep-rooted commitment to service and community building has guided the Angel Network Foundation, Inc. It's a mission that was instilled by Rachel's parents, who taught her the invaluable lesson of giving back one's blessings. With this cherished principle as her compass, Rachel has played a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact, especially as we embrace new horizons like supporting the homeless through our care packages initiative. Her dedication, compassionate spirit, and tireless efforts are a true inspiration to us all. Rachel is not only a co-founder of our organization; she's the embodiment of the values that drive our mission to create a world where kindness and appreciation shine brightly.

Expanding Our Mission: Including Seniors, Veterans, and the Homeless

In 2023, the Angel Network Foundation, Inc. took its next significant step. Upon the passing of her husband, Robert O'Dowd, Rachel O'Dowd, Liz Alvarez's sister-in-law, joined forces to expand our mission. Together, we decided to honor seniors and veterans who have made invaluable contributions to our communities and our country.

Our vision extends even further. We aspire to positively impact the lives of the homeless by distributing care packages. This endeavor reflects our unwavering commitment to kindness and appreciation for all community members, regardless of their circumstances.
